Fairino FR3-WMS Compact Cobot

The FAIRINO FR3-WMS is an ultra-lightweight 6-axis collaborative robot designed for welding, assembly, and material handling applications, enabling precise and space-saving automation. With a 3 kg payload, 622 mm reach, ±0.02 mm repeatability, and power consumption of only 90 W, it is particularly well suited for energy-efficient production environments. Integration is supported via TCP/IP, Modbus TCP/RTU, WebApp, as well as optional Profinet, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, and CC-Link connectivity. The ±360° rotation of the sixth axis, low weight of just 10.5 kg, and support for ROS, ROS2, and Python make it ideal for compact welding cells, mobile robotics, and laboratory automation.

Optimized for Welding Applications

The FAIRINO FR3-WMS has been specifically developed for applications where a high degree of tool maneuverability is essential. Its key feature is the extended ±360° rotation of the sixth axis, enabling more flexible positioning of welding torches and other end effectors. This allows weld seams to be reached from various angles without repositioning the robot or adding external axes. The design is particularly well suited for compact welding cells and automated manufacturing processes where accessibility and freedom of movement are critical. With a payload of 3 kg and a reach of 622 mm, the robot is optimized for precise close-range processing tasks. This specialization makes it an ideal solution for flexible welding and manufacturing applications.

High Precision in a Compact Design

With a repeatability of ±0.02 mm, the FAIRINO FR3-WMS ranks among the most precise cobots in its performance class. This capability is especially valuable in welding, assembly, grinding, and polishing applications, where repeatable motion directly impacts process quality. At the same time, the complete robot weighs only 10.5 kg and features a footprint of just 128 mm. Its compact design enables integration into work environments where installation space is limited. The combination of low weight, high accuracy, and six degrees of freedom allows demanding automation processes to be implemented in confined spaces. Users benefit from a solution that is both precise and versatile while being easy to integrate into existing production environments.

Energy-Efficient for Continuous Operation

A standout feature of the FAIRINO FR3-WMS is its low power consumption. With an average power draw of just 90 W and a peak power consumption of 130 W, the robot requires significantly less energy than many comparable automation solutions. This can help reduce operating costs, particularly in continuous production environments. The energy-efficient design is combined with a lightweight and space-saving form factor without compromising the precision required for industrial applications. As a result, companies can implement smaller automation projects economically while keeping overall energy consumption under control. The low power requirements provide additional advantages in laboratory environments, compact production cells, and decentralized automation concepts.

Open Interfaces for Flexible Integration

The FAIRINO FR3-WMS can be integrated into existing automation environments through a wide range of communication and software options. TCP/IP, Modbus TCP, and Modbus RTU are available as standard. For industrial control integration, Profinet, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, and CC-Link can also be supported. On the software side, the robot provides SDK support for Python, C++, and C#. In addition, it can be integrated into ROS and ROS2 environments. This open architecture simplifies integration into existing machine concepts and supports the development of customized automation applications. System integrators benefit from a platform that is suitable for both traditional industrial automation and advanced robotics projects.
